About the Pets

At Tadpoles Pollywogs & Froglets Daycare, we have two dogs.  Keeley is a 6 year old, male Irish Terrier.  Teagan is a 3 year old, female mixed breed.
Psychological research has consistently shown that pets offer numerous benefits to children, such as:  enhanced social skills, more cooperation and sharing, more self confidence and empathy, greater impulse control, a buffer against sadness and loneliness, and an aid in the development of greater trust - just to name a few.
Before children are allowed to interact freely with Keeley and Teagan, first they are taught some basic rules about how to approach a dog, when not to disturb a dog, and about some of a dog’s typical cues.  All interactions between the dogs and the children are closely supervised.  In accordance with the law, we carry extra liability insurance on the dogs.

About Keeley
We call Keeley the doggie ambassador to his species because he loves kids!  He is always winning over kids that are normally scared of dogs.  All the neighborhood kids adore him and he gets lots of petting from them every time we take a walk.  He loves all the attention they give him and even when they're not paying attention to him, he just likes to observe them.

About Teagan
Teagan is the baby of the family.  She's very affectionate and tries hard to please.  She always has a smile on her face and her tail is always wagging.
