Philosophy
I believe that children have a natural predisposition towards learning.  Through their senses, children actively take in information about the world around them, apply logic, and try to construct meaning out of it.  Play an essential part of early childhood learning.  It is through play that children explore, test new ideas, practice skills, and learn about social interactions.
I believe that learning is an active process and unique to each individual.  I believe that a caregiver's role is to help facilitate learning and that all subject matter can and should be presented in such a way that is tailored to the developmental level and interests of each child.  I believe that one’s interest in the subject matter is the best motivation for learning.
